Job Description

As a Manager in Enterprise Services & Staff Finance, you will be a part of the team managing financial planning and analysis for our internal Enterprise Risk organizations. You will gain exposure to the risk management landscape in financial services, and have touchpoints with teams across Capital One as risk is managed throughout the enterprise.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts and investments across the organization
  • Develop materials that clearly articulate business results in support of partner objectives and long-term strategic planning
  • Proactively identify and address potential financial issues and opportunities while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Conduct accurate budgeting, forecasting, financial management reporting, and variance analysis of operating expenses
  • Build story-driven presentations with data-driven insights, and deliver to senior audiences
  • Engage with business partners to analyze and manage cost drivers and to prioritize resources
  • Independently coordinate workstreams and deliverables under either open-ended or tight timelines, including ad-hoc and special projects
  • Identify and enable continuous improvements across the team to drive efficiencies
  • Indirectly manage and develop associates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • At least 6 years experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • At least 1 year of direct or indirect people management experience
