Job Description:

The Manager, Finance - NXT Innovation serves as a strategic financial partner to Belden's Corporate Development team, providing financial leadership throughout the M&A deal lifecycle, from target identification through post-acquisition integration. This role is responsible for leading deal valuation modeling, ROI assessment, synergy analysis, and post-close financial tracking to ensure investment decisions align with Belden's strategic priorities and deliver measurable long-term value.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead financial modeling and valuation for M&A transactions, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and synergy assessment
  • Prepare investment committee materials and white papers for senior leadership review
  • Partner with Corporate Development on acquisition pipeline analysis, target evaluation, and deal structuring
  • Support investment planning and prioritization for NXT Innovation initiatives with data-driven insights
  • Collaborate with Integration Finance and Corporate Development teams on post-acquisition integration planning and synergy tracking
  • Own and continuously improve standard work processes for NXT finance activities, including integration tracking, business case optimization, and M&A financial tools
  • Drive process enhancements to increase deal evaluation efficiency, accuracy, and financial rigor
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators: M&A funnel metrics, ROI realized vs. business case, forecast accuracy, and synergy realization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive finance experience with significant M&A exposure in corporate development, investment banking, or corporate M&A
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring
  • Proven track record preparing investment materials and presenting to executive leadership
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with financial planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial analysis into strategic business insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset
