Responsible for managing the ongoing maintenance operations and processes of all building systems, equipment, and facilities at the IFG to ensure functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for managing the ongoing maintenance operations and processes of all building systems, equipment, and facilities at the IFG to ensure functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance
Manage the sanitation and cleanliness activities to ensure food safety compliance and regulatory requirements are met
Determine and assign all maintenance projects to be completed within the building or property and direct the project to insure proper completion
Initiate and maintain sanitation program for the facility
Manage the establishment and completion of preventative maintenance schedules for all systems, equipment, and buildings
Prepares departmental profit plan and related budget
Review and approve department expenditures within budgetary plans
Monitor the third-party pest control provider’s services and report any performance or regulatory concerns
Support the development and adherence to Sysco’s waste management policies and procedures
Foster an environment that encourages colleague involvement
Ensure that all required colleague records, evaluations, and related documentation are filed in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner
Observe and enforce all safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries
Comply with all applicable company policies
Comply with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies
Maintain facility security requirements and implement procedures for safeguarding property and resources
Partner with vendors to ensure the safety, security, and the access control systems are utilized in the most efficient and effective manner
Comply with all the food safety policies and procedures as directed by food safety regulations
Accept additional responsibilities or special projects as requested
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass a functional capacity test
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required
Five years experience as Facilities Maintenance Manager or Facilities Engineer is required
Mechanical aptitude, understanding of facilities equipment and systems, considerable knowledge of electrical, refrigeration systems operations and its maintenance requirements are required
Must be articulate and effective with written and verbal communication with individuals of broadly varying backgrounds and educational levels
Must have mastery of general math, algebra, and geometry
Nice to have
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Energy Management System knowledge preferred
Electrical and/or refrigeration license or certificate preferred
