Job Responsibility

  • Manage a team of professionals in R&T program management
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and training, to enable employees to reach their goals
  • Delegate and organize resources to meet the company’s objective in R&T
  • Lead manpower planning activities and budget preparation
  • Support senior management and technical leaders to align on research strategies, priorities and decisions
  • Manage communication and visibility reports for the various levels of the organization on risk mitigation, execution, resource allocation and budget
  • Communicate effectively and favor efficient open communication
  • Coordinate the efforts of Bombardier's support functions - Legal Services, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Communications – to carry out your team’s mandates
  • Support the continuous improvement of your team’s mandates

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in engineering
  • more than 15 years of relevant experience in aeronautics engineering, including 3 as a team leader
  • strong knowledge of R&T management practices
  • strong experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the aeronautics industry, and strong knowledge of early aircraft development phases
  • can manage multiple concurrent projects and activities
  • strives for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing at all levels
  • autonomous, result-driven, and enthusiastic with strong work ethics
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong communication skills and can easily tailor communication to suit the audience
  • able to represent Bombardier with industry, academia, and partner organizations
