Job Description

MathWorks is seeking a Manager for their Engineering Development Group to lead a team of engineers, focusing on coaching and career development while fostering collaboration and process improvements within a hybrid work model. The role of the EDG manager is central to the success of not just the engineers, but also has a high impact on the successful and sustained growth of the company. The emphasis in this position is on managing and developing people, rather than technical work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required
  • 2 years management experience is required
  • BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science required
  • 2+ years of management experience at a software company preferred
  • Customer facing experience (technical support, application engineering)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership experience and passion for coaching and mentoring engineers
