Job Description

The Manager, Employee Relations will be responsible for diligently conducting above-property Internal Reviews ensuring fairness and confidentiality. This role will manage an ongoing case-load of issues that must be reviewed in a timely manner ensuring proper communication and alignment with key stakeholders such as the Area Directors People & Culture and the VPs People & Culture.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads above-property Internal Review process and resolution of complex and/or high-risk employee complaints with fairness and confidentiality in a timely manner
  • Keep all key stakeholders updated on findings and aligned on proposed next steps to resolution
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Area Directors P&C on employee relations trends and potential risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist Director Employee Relations & Policies and Area Directors People & Culture in identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on case load to Director Employee Relations
  • As an administrator of the platform, work with the Director Employee Relations & Policies to ensure all data and documents are maintained related to Internal Reviews
  • Assist with platform migration from Convercent to EQS ensuring that the system is set up to deliver reporting, diagnostic and analytic capabilities
  • Assist with updating and maintaining a comprehensive global People & Culture Operations policy framework that supports compliance, equity, and organizational values
  • Collaborate with field People & Culture leaders, Legal & Compliance to ensure policies are aligned with regulatory changes and business needs
  • Assist with Global People & Culture projects as needed

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations case load management and resolution
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Ethics Reporting platforms (e.g. Convercent, Navex, EQS)
