The Manager, Emergency Management leads critical governance, assurance, and strategic reform initiatives that underpin South Australia's emergency management capability. This role is responsible or the oversight of the Lessons Management Portal, coordination of State Strategic Projects, and delivery of sector-wide reforms, including the Emergency Management Assurance Attestation process. The Manager provides authoritative policy and strategic advice on emergency management issues to the State Emergency Management Committee (SEMC), Emergency Management Cabinet Committee (EMCC), and senior government stakeholders including the Chief Executive, Premier, and Cabinet. The role drives whole-of government initiatives, supports executive committees, and leads a high-performing team that contributes to the State’s broader security and emergency management outcomes.
Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the oversight of the Lessons Management Portal

Requirements:
Participate in the department's Performance Management Program
May be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent
Participate in the State Crisis Centre during exercises and incidents
Be on the on-call roster for the State Crisis Centre and State Emergency Centre
National Security Clearance to the level of Secret
Satisfactory Criminal History Check
Out-of-hours work and interstate travel maybe required
