The Manager, Electrical Engineering is responsible for the technical workstreams of the projects since the initial development until the handover to the Construction teams, with a heavy focus on HVI and interconnection application processes. The technical management of the projects is focused on technical tender preparation and vendor management, as well as the interaction with global internal Engineering teams.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and manage engineering activities, including Engineering tender preparation, contractor selection and management throughout project
Coordinate interaction with internal global technical teams
Oversee the development of engineering designs at various stages, ensuring compliance with local regulation and market practice
Manage interconnection application process with the TSO
Support country teams (PMO) during business development opportunities, from a technical perspective
Create project schedules for RFP tenders and project development, ensuring timely and budgeted completion
Provide specialized technical support during tender processes (RFPs), including the revision of HVI supporting documents and single line diagrams
Ensure Capex optimization throughout project development, ensuring maximum project profitability
Coordinate key studies for integration in engineering projects
Establish relationships with suppliers and support APAC procurement team in bid/award processes for services
Ensure lessons learned from construction are applied to the requirements of projects under development
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years in design projects focused in PV Plants, substations, and high voltage lines
Experience in interconnection application process with TSO in Japan
Experience in managing engineering projects, including management of external contractors
Renewable energy or Power utility experience preferred
Applicable practices and regulations
Substation Commissioning and tests
Knowledge of photovoltaic system design and its various components
Detailed understanding of HVI components and SLDs
Strong communication, project management, problem-solving and teamwork skills
Proficient in English and Japanese
Nice to have:
