The Deal Management team supports business development (BD) and account teams in structuring deals for new business opportunities with new and existing customers. This role is responsible for the establishment and management of strategic and complex customer business agreements (covering issuing, acquiring, merchant, pre-paid, loyalty and non BAU deal flows).
Job Responsibility:
Drive deal structures that incentivize the right behaviors while protecting Mastercard's financial interests
Lead the end to end review of deal models and business cases, ensuring rigorous benchmarking, risk assessment, and alignment with business strategy
Orchestrate seamless execution of agreements by engaging and coordinating all critical stakeholders
Partner with BD and account leaders to manage pipeline modeling activities and deliver timely, insight rich reporting
Contribute to LAC financial strategy by shaping long term initiatives that enhance profitability and competitive advantage
Champion strategic and ad hoc initiatives that streamline the deal approval process and provide thought leadership to senior management
Coordinate weekly deal committee forums to drive alignment across functional teams
Resolve issuer and customer inquiries related to incentive offers, preparing clear impact analyses and recommendations for management
Serve as a subject matter expert across cross functional teams, quantifying financial impacts and guiding data driven decisions
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in deal management, FP&A, commercial finance, strategy, or M&A
experience in payments or banking is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
advanced degree is a plus
Fluency in English and Spanish
Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis skills, with strong accounting judgment (US GAAP knowledge preferred)
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth, profitability, and risk
Executive-level communication skills
able to influence, challenge, and align senior commercial and finance stakeholders
High ownership mindset, comfortable operating with ambiguity and minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to synthesize and prioritize what truly matters
