Job Description:

The role involves managing data, developing analytical products, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and leveraging Big Data technologies in Google Cloud to deliver effective solutions. The candidate would need significant experience in investment management, data management, and strong problem-solving skills within capital market areas.

Job Responsibility:

Sees the 'bigger picture' and assesses relationships between solutions/projects and business performance
Building lasting and trusted relationships with stakeholders, production support staff and demonstrating understanding of their needs from a data perspective
Develop Analytical Information products to support strategic decision making
Develop data products by leveraging the Big Data technologies in Google Cloud
Work with key functions and Global teams to deliver solutions effectively
Liaise with the global business teams, identify use cases and work on existing initiatives
Ensuring that the Data Ingestion, Data Quality and Data Support provided into various platforms are seamless
Achieve results through influence and persuasion as well as exercise direct authority
Work within the overall framework of the Asset Management Group Operations.

Requirements:

Understanding of investment management business, funds, managed or separately managed accounts
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Data Technologies – BigQuery, Data Management –SQL, Visualization – Tableau/Data Studio
Candidates should have experience of the investment management industry, significant data management experience, be highly numerate and able to come up with solutions to unanticipated problems where required
Demonstrate team ethic through Knowledge Transfer, Peer review & feedback, skills sharing
Should be self-motivated, self-starter and result oriented
Strong problem-solving skills in Capital Market area
Ability to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously, effectively prioritizing personal and team workload and actively seek guidance for wider priority decisions
Should be flexible to work as an Individual contributor or/and team manager
Maintain accuracy and completeness in all outputs, processes, systems and communications as an integral part of delivery
Data management knowledge should include a thorough understanding of investment management data-sets including transactions, holdings and instrument data-sets
The candidate should have a functional understanding of the investment management end-to-end trade life cycle
The candidate will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls.
