The Manager, Data Centre Engineering is a Lead role, responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day operations of all in-rack build and maintenance within the data center, ensuring its reliability, efficiency, and adherence to customer standards. This Site Leadership role manages a team of engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive projects, manage resources, and implement strategies for optimizing build performance and maintaining operational throughput in the data center environment. The role is based in Barber, TX and is exclusively onsite.
Job Responsibility
Manages a multi-disciplinary engineering team to ensure efficient rack and stack of critical infrastructure
Builds and improves on SOP's and MOP's for build and on-going support of DC in-rack infrastructure
Researches and implements new methodologies for improves and optimization of work
Be an advisor to the Senior team to ensure deliverables meet company strategic goals
Ensures quality assurance checks of deliverables are conducted
Works with external suppliers as required aligning their activity with the organizations strategic goals for developing and operating cost effective, highly efficient, and reliable Data Centers
Full day-to-day operational management of a 24/7 operational team building out critical infrastructure
Works with clients and Program Management to develop and maintain regular cadence reporting and real time dashboards
Work with team to continuously improve efficiency in operational flows on rack-and-stack activities related to a full data canter kit out
Requirements
Advanced experience managing multi discipline engineering teams within a business-critical environment
Strong experience in large scale deployments
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline required
Advanced knowledge of at least one engineering domain ideally within a data center or similar environment
Advanced knowledge of operational SOP and MOP creation and improvement
Advanced ability to lead and manage a 24/7 team providing engineering support across the data center lifecycle
Advanced understanding of critical data center electrical, direct to chip liquid cooling and mechanical equipment
Must be detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment both virtual and in person
Ability to interact with individuals and groups both internally and externally
Advanced problem-solving skills coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills
Organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines and budgets
A strong bias for building efficiency in operational systems
Nice to have
Professional Engineering license achievement preferred
