Are you a retail strategist with a passion for entertainment and building fandoms? We are looking for a high-energy, strategic Manager of Retail Development to lead the charge for one of our most critical accounts. This role is centered on driving comprehensive retail strategies that bring world-class entertainment properties to life. You will manage the relationship with the lead account and the Department Store channel, ensuring our brand goals align perfectly with retail execution. Job Responsibility:
Target Strategy & Execution: Conceptualize, pitch, and execute robust retail strategies specifically for Target. Ensure all programs align with business objectives, category priorities, and long-term brand health
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global teams-including Licensing, Creative, Marketing, and Merchandise Strategy-to deliver best-in-class programs across toys, apparel, beauty, home, and more
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain deep-rooted relationships with Target's Strategic Partnerships team and other key stakeholders to unlock innovative growth opportunities
Brand Ambassadorship: Act as the primary internal and external champion for our retail vision, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints
Agile Management: Pivot quickly between multiple high-profile titles and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Data-Driven Insights: Leverage market data and consumer insights to formulate and present recommendations for future retail programs
Requirements:
7+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in retail strategy, account management, or licensing, with a mandatory focus on Target
Target Expertise: Deep knowledge of Target's organizational structure and a history of navigating their complex ecosystem successfully
Omni-channel Mastery: Experience developing successful retail strategies that drive growth across both physical and digital storefronts
Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to influence and lead diverse teams (Marketing, Games, Creative, etc.) and work effectively with global stakeholders
Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex strategies clearly and persuasively to executive leadership
Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to track, analyze, and optimize business performance through data
Entertainment Passion: A deep-seated interest in entertainment properties and a creative flair for bringing fictional worlds into the hands of consumers
