Job Description:

The PC/FLex team is seeking a Cloud Quality Engineering Manager who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The focus of this position will be to build a highly efficient quality team, balancing resource management, managing delivery of test automation in support of new features and regression. You will own a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enhance and lead the quality engineering team to ensure the teams deliver high quality, performant, accurate and reliable automation
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the quality engineering members
  • Supervise the development of Test Plans, Test cases, test procedures for testing and automation
  • Lead in code reviews and ensure that code is high quality
  • Apply expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies
  • Manage activities of non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or managers
  • Act as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization
  • Plan, manage and monitor high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff
  • Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both
  • Recruit and support development of direct staff members
  • Be an advocate for customers and product quality within the organization
  • Facilitate technical deep-dives and cross training to support teams
  • Provide overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
  • drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development

Requirements:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required, electrical or computer engineering preferred
  • May have advanced university degree
  • Typically, 10 or more years of related work experience, including 3+ years of people management experience
  • Significant work experience as a quality engineering leader or similar position working across multiple stakeholder organizations
  • Strong foundation in designing, developing engineering products and services and delivering with highest quality
  • Solid experience in testing microservices and cloud systems, Kubernetes and aaS offerings
  • Prior experience in product development and deployments
  • end to end ownership and accountability
  • Good experience in AWS services (EKS, EC2, Cloudfront, RDS, etc) and/or developing on other cloud providers Azure, GCP
  • Experience of scalable, enterprise grade aaS API platform
  • Strong understating of modern aaS APIs and event bases systems development and testing principles
  • Demonstrated abilities to drive transformation across a business with exceptional skills in the management of change
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners
  • Proficiency in programming in Python/Java/Go, Selenium
  • Experience in the following areas/technologies: Storage / Compute / Networking
  • KVM / Vmware
  • Virtualization technologies
  • SQL/NoSQL DBs, XML
  • REST APIs, JSON, Web Applications
  • AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Microservices, Containerization, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD, Git/Gitlab, Jenkins
  • LINUX/VM environments
  • Pytest, TestNG, Junit
  • Scale/performance testing tools
