Job Responsibility:

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments
  • May provide patient care when necessary
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols

Requirements:

  • State of Michigan RN license
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Five (5) years in office manager (preferred)
  • LPN Applicants: State of Michigan LPN license
  • Graduated from an LPN or LVN Program

Nice to have:

  • Five (5) years in office manager
  • Bachelor's degree (for RN applicants)

  • Perform hands-on activities not outsourced to vendors, as needed
  • Author study documents and plans such as ICF and study specific plans
  • Provide input and review of site training materials
  • Review and provide clinical operations input into relevant clinical documents such as the protocol, investigator brochure, regulatory documents, clinical study reports and other documents and plans as appropriate
  • Proactively identify risks and lead team members to mitigate risks in a timely fashion
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships, both internal and external to project, including site personnel (KOLs, PIs, Study Coordinators)
  • Select and manage vendors
  • Perform and document study-level Sponsor Oversight of outsourced clinical activities
  • Execute clinical operations country submission tasks and documents: Review submission pack, coordinate country-specific ethics RFIs, review and update site-specific consent forms
