Job Description

The Manager, Client Delivery is responsible for leading a team of technical consultants and business analysts to effectively manage various consulting clients and technical projects. This leadership role leverages proven experience as a subject matter expert in the life insurance or reinsurance industry along with superior technical testing and systems analysis, to lead the team to achieve client and company objectives. This role is highly accountable for their team's results. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships and working with internal technical staff to implement life reinsurance solutions and services to TAI clients. The individual will also play an important role in the implementation of client projects, ranging from design and oversight of software implementations testing, upgrade projects, and custom modifications to align the TAI Life and Health Reinsurance system with the ceded reinsurance business processes for domestic and international clients. The individual will perform complex research and analysis to support business operations and develop recommendations to address problems/issues for their key client projects

Job Responsibility

  • Leading a team of technical consultants and business analysts to effectively manage various consulting clients and technical projects
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships and working with internal technical staff to implement life reinsurance solutions and services to TAI clients
  • Implementation of client projects, ranging from design and oversight of software implementations testing, upgrade projects, and custom modifications
  • Performing complex research and analysis to support business operations and develop recommendations
  • Managing and training staff to ensure appropriate and quality delivery of software and services to clients
  • Developing and managing sophisticated testing protocol and procedures
  • Coordinating, developing and improving automated testing program
  • Overseeing accurate and complete collection, documentation, and analyzing of business requirements for client projects
  • Publishing project reports and collaborating on a weekly and monthly basis with key client accounts and management
  • Providing training in the use of the TAI system, general reinsurance administration, and the process flow
  • Phone support for TAI clients
  • Conducting complex tasks and activities within TAI and/or externally to obtain information

Requirements

  • 8+ years overall insurance experience
  • Proven knowledge of life insurance and annuity accounting concepts
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior life insurance or reinsurance role
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • College or University Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Proven decision-making skills, demonstrating the ability to make decisions quickly based on often incomplete information
  • Effective gap-analysis and report writing skills
  • Proven track record of understanding client expectations efficiently and effectively in order to meet or exceed client expectations on assignments
  • Ability to lead a team of consultants and business analyst in order to execute numerous client projects to completion, while demonstrating best practices, evidenced controls, and quality outcomes
  • Experience communicating directly and frequently with clients and stakeholders in a customer service setting

Nice to have

  • University degree in computer science, actuarial science, finance, or accounting
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • Thorough understanding of reinsurance data and business processes including administration and billing, claims, underwriting, valuation, accounting, auditing, etc
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets and complex data flows to recognize systemic risks and issues to the client
  • Proven understanding of most life insurance products written in the North American market
  • Experience with project management concepts and practices
  • Experience with systems conversions
  • Highly developed client service skills
