Job Description

Responsible for the management of clinical practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). Role functions include management of human,fiscal,material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or business-related field, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in other field plus 3 years Cath lab work experience
  • Minimum 3 years healthcare experience required
  • 1 year clinical leadership experience required
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
  • Cardiac Cath Lab operations and management, required

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in healthcare or business-related field
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • State of employment Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technologist certification upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistance duties within the scope of another active state of employment license, certification or registration
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) with post primary certification of Cardiac-Interventional Radiography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)

  • Maintains the appropriate level of critical inventory in the OR, which includes analyzing data, making ordering decisions based upon usage and inventory value, validating orders and resolving discrepancies, and removing outdated supplies. Oversees the ordering and entering of OR non-stock orders, as well as the tracking of consignment items. Assists clinicians to order new items
  • Responsible for keeping supply areas neat and orderly to allow for proper counting of supplies and the identification and removal of outdated supplies
  • Serves as main point of contact with designated service line managers in order to ensure timely and accurate information flow regarding shortages, outages, overstock, and other inventory problems and/or concerns
