The Manager, Business Operations – APAC plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting strategic initiatives across the region. This position partners closely with APAC leadership and the Business Unit to ensure action plans are designed, executed, and monitored to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional who works independently while fostering collaboration across all levels of the organisation. A key responsibility is partnering Department leaders and with the Project Management Office (PMO) to implement and refine processes that deliver continuous improvement and measurable outcomes. While the Executive Vice President of APAC owns the P&L, this role provides the analysis and process execution that underpin profitability and efficiency. Working with Department leaders and the PMO, the Manager ensures optimal resource utilisation and delivers accurate, timely data to inform strategic business decisions.
Job Responsibility:
In collaboration with the PMO, Department leads, develop, coordinate and manage comprehensive action plans aligned to regional and organisational objectives to improve processes, services, operational efficiencies and client satisfaction
Continually focus on improvement and efficiency driving a culture of operational excellence
Track and monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring that milestones are met and desired outcomes achieved
Proactively identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement, escalating issues as appropriate
Follow up with accountable stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of commitments
In collaboration with the PMO and Department leads, identify and prioritise resolution of bottlenecks, risks, inefficiencies and areas that are low performing
Develop measurable goals, performance standards to be used to ensure effective client and business outcomes
In partnership with the PMO, implement data reporting processes and dashboards that ensure effective visibility of progress or risk to goal achievement
In partnership with the PMO, document and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation
Analyse and summarise results and findings across a wide range of data, including financial performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
Ensure data accuracy and integrity, validating information prior to presentation to leadership for use in business decisions
Prepare clear, concise and actionable reports and presentations for the APAC leadership team
Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
Liaise with cross-functional teams within and outside the Business Unit to drive collaboration, alignment and performance improvements
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions to progress initiatives and resolve issues
Communicate effectively with teams and senior leaders, providing updates and recommendations with confidence and based on accurate data and analysis
Contribute to the preparation of strategic recommendations, business cases and other as required
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, commerce, finance or a related field preferred
Experience in Business operations, general management, project management or information management and analytics
Self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive outcomes without direct supervision
Collaborative and able to work in partnership, having strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with colleagues at all levels within a matrix organisation
Analytical mind-set: Detail orientated with strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
