As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at DEPT®, you will play a critical role in driving growth for our Partnerships organization across the Americas. This entry-level, high-impact position focuses on pipeline development, account research, outbound outreach, and supporting partner-led and DEPT-led events to open new opportunities with priority enterprise and mid-market accounts.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
Conduct detailed account research and support account mapping sessions
Use tools like Crossbeam to identify ecosystem overlaps
Execute targeted outbound programs across email, LinkedIn, and partner channels
Personalize outreach based on research, intent signals, and partner intel
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients
Support audience acquisition for DEPT® and partner executive events
Follow up with attendees and no-shows to convert event momentum into pipeline
Collaborate with partner teams to drive joint go-to-market motions
Work closely with Partnerships, Growth, Marketing, and Craft leads
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in Salesforce
Provide regular feedback on market signals, prospect responses, and partner opportunities
Requirements:
Passionate about partnerships, business development, and uncovering new opportunities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Curious and proactive
Thrive in collaboration and enjoy working cross-functionally
Familiarity with sales tools (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and ideally partner ecosystem platforms like Crossbeam
Exposure to marketing, digital experience, media, or technology services
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
2-4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or marketing (agency or tech environment preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills and a comfort level engaging with director- and VP-level stakeholders
Experience with lead generation, outbound outreach, or early-pipeline sales motions
Understanding of digital marketing, customer experience, or media concepts
Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM tools
Nice to have:
Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Adobe, Shopify, Optimizely, Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce, or AWS
Experience with Crossbeam or partner ecosystem workflows
Experience supporting events, executive programs, or audience acquisition
Interest in agency models and how cross-disciplinary teams collaborate to deliver integrated work
