Job Description

The Manager, Business Controlling DACH is a highly visible role, working closely with key stakeholders across the business. This role partners with leaders across the German, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) commercial and medical organizations to support the execution of strategic and operational initiatives, deliver financial and business insights, and make recommendations for short and long-term decisions. The Manager, Business Controlling DACH is responsible for coordinating and facilitating corporate planning and finance processes, reporting financial and operational results, and partnering with the DACH commercial and medical organization to deliver financial results.

Job Responsibility

  • Proactively deliver business and financial insights that provide assigned businesses with important, actionable ways to improve business results
  • Understands levers of the impact of assigned businesses and actively participates in business reviews
  • Assist business leaders with the development and delivery of financial plans, forecast and analyses
  • Ownership of management reporting for assigned businesses
  • Responsible for validating statutory reporting in DACH markets
  • The primary point of contact between the business and the finance organization
  • Provide management with insight on all areas of cost and revenue
  • Participate in projects to maintain, test and improve the IT systems used for budget/forecast and management reporting
  • Lead special projects

Requirements

  • B.S. or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and partner with senior leaders, understand corporate strategy, and influence business outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with an ability to coordinate complex processes across multiple stakeholders across the Finance organization
  • Self-starter, problem-solver, comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet frequent deadlines
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and processes
  • Financial reporting, and IT systems competence
  • Experience with SAP, SAP BPC, and Business Objects preferred
  • German and English in speaking and writing are a must, any other languages are a plus
