This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced market research professional to join the Capital One Brand Insights Team to lead a new research operations function within the Brand department. In this role, you will provide best-in-class market research operations leadership and serve as a functional subject matter expert to a team of primary market researchers in the delivery of insights that inform marketing, advertising, and brand building strategies for the company. The ideal candidate will have proven experience designing and implementing research operational standards, processes, and artifacts in a highly collaborative environment. This role is designed for someone who likes to see a large volume of interesting and complex work move forward in a coordinated, efficient, and overall well-managed way.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage all recurring team operational aspects
Create or optimize operational standards and engagement models within the team and with partners
Manage the Brand Insights team’s primary research tools, third-party data tools, and syndicated resource access, usage and capabilities
Lead the partnership with finance, legal, agency relations, compliance and risk to ensure research is conducted compliantly across Capital One
Coordinate recurring team level communications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 5 years of experience in a primary market research (supplier or client side) or project management role for a marketing organization (agency or brand side)
At least 1 year of experience in a market research operations role or managing complex market research programs
Nice to have:
Bachelor Degree in market research, marketing, business, sociology, psychology, or behavioral economics
Advanced degree, such as an MBA or an MS (business, marketing research, consumer psychology, management consulting, or related field)
Organizational and project management skills, with a solid understanding of market research project workflows
Experience managing complex market research programs
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial – comfortable with white space and interested in proactively proposing and pursuing new research projects to address partner questions
At least 6 years experience in a market research operations or project management role
At least 3 years experience in a market research role on the client side
At least 2 years of experience at a Fortune 500 company or a company well-known for the marketing and market research disciplines
