Job Description

In this critical role, you will lead Benefits Operations for the US & Puerto Rico, ensuring high-quality, compliant and employee-focused delivery of benefits programs. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, vendor performance and continuous improvement across a complex and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end benefits operations for US & Puerto Rico, ensuring seamless execution and a consistent employee experience
  • Manage governance metrics, including SLAs, KPIs and compliance standards
  • Act as a primary escalation point for team managing benefits-related issues across employees and stakeholders
  • Evaluate and improve benefits programs to ensure alignment with market trends, regulatory requirements and global strategy
  • Lead annual renewals, vendor transitions and new program implementations
  • Support enterprise initiatives such as global rollouts, mergers & acquisitions and transformation programs
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers and service providers to ensure strong performance and accountability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Finance, Procurement, Legal, Tax, Occupational Health, Staff Relation and HR teams
  • Support governance discussions and incorporate employee feedback to enhance & regulate benefits programs
  • Drive process improvements through automation, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leverage data and dashboards to enable insights, reporting and informed decision-making
  • Support the adoption of benefits technologies and scalable operational processes
  • Lead and develop the team of benefits professionals, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Should have 10+ years of experience managing employee benefits operations in large or mid-sized organizations
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of the US benefits landscape, including health, wellbeing, retirement, LOA and insurance programs
  • Experience working with global organizations or within matrixed environments
  • Hands-on experience with benefits and HR systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow, Alight…etc)
  • Strong stakeholder management and vendor management experience
