Job Description

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville Behavioral Health Manager is seeking an experienced and motivated to lead our Outpatient II administrative team. This leader will oversee New Patient Coordinators and manage key front-end operations including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and claims support. This role provides both operational and people leadership for approximately 20–25 administrative team members supporting outpatient behavioral health services. The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare leader who values operational excellence, team development, and exceptional patient service.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide operational oversight of outpatient behavioral health support functions, including scheduling, referrals, verifications, claims, and special services
  • Lead and develop a team of supervisors and administrative professionals (20–25 team members)
  • Manage day-to-day workflows to ensure timely patient access and service excellence
  • Monitor volumes, productivity, and access metrics
  • identify trends and implement process improvements
  • Address performance, attendance, and employee relations matters in partnership with Human Resources
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT, and administrative stakeholders to optimize patient access and front-end processes
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing staff training and development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Over 5 years Relevant equivalent experience in lieu of education
  • 3-5 Years Managerial Experience Required
