Job Description:

To assist in managing operational teams under Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) Operations, namely Settlements and FX, while ensuring maximum operational efficiency, adherence to service standards, and mitigation of risks. The role involves reviewing operational and regulatory risks, delivering strategic initiatives, replying to client inquiries, and developing service improvements. Candidates should have relevant experience in securities services, general banking operations, familiarity with regulators, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to prioritize tasks under challenging situations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in managing the operational teams under Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) Operations, namely Settlements and FX, to ensure maximum operational efficiency and adherence to service standards whilst minimising risks
  • Review operational and regulatory risks inherent in operations and implement procedures to close or mitigate these risks
  • Deliver strategic initiatives
  • Ensure client and counterparty inquiries are replied to
  • Ensure reportorial requirements due to clients, issuers, and regulators are accurate and submitted on a timely basis
  • Identify and develop service improvements
  • Deputize for VP Service Delivery in his/her absence

Requirements:

  • Previous Securities Services experience is an advantage (e.g. Client Services, Operations, Settlements, Asset Services/Corporate Actions, Investment Licensing/Registration)
  • General banking operations (e.g. remittances, foreign exchange) or financial accounting or business analyst background, knowledge of stock market activities, equities, fixed income instruments and other securities
  • Familiarity with regulators (Philippines Stock Exchange, Philippine Depository and Trust Corporation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission) and regulations
  • Able to build relationships and influence others, both internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be organised, analytical, with keen attention to detail, a fast learner and efficient worker and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must possess effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be inquisitive, service and goal-oriented, resourceful, and self-reliant
  • Must be able to think and work effectively under challenging situations to properly manage multiple tasks and identify any potential issues and resolve them
  • Must have strong sense of ownership, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork
