As Manager, Asset Services you will be responsible for leading and operational team function and ensuring the effective management of operational risk while maintaining data integrity. You will require a deep understanding of operational procedures and practices, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and make informed decisions that impact Wealth Management Europe (WME) Operations. You will be accountable for all team management activities, including adherence to HR processes and promoting team engagement. Additionally, the role is expected to foster a positive working environment for the operational team function and act as a role-model in-line with group values encouraging colleagues to speak up for the good of RBC.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and operational team function and ensure the effective management of operational risk while maintaining data integrity
Develop and implement strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and make informed decisions that impact Wealth Management Europe (WME) Operations
Accountable for all team management activities, including adherence to HR processes and promoting team engagement
Foster a positive working environment for the operational team function and act as a role-model in-line with group values
Ensure procedures are maintained and adhered to, guaranteeing a high level of accuracy and the timely delivery of service
Accountable for the review and sign-off of departmental procedures in-line with regulatory and audit requirements
Ensure the timely and appropriate levels of escalation, as well as proactively supporting the resolution of risks and issues
Set a clear direction and purpose for operational team function aligned with group strategy
Ensure personal and team member understanding and adherence to Risk and Control, Policy Frameworks
Embed and drive a culture of simplification and innovation via continuous improvement
Ensure the change portfolio is understood and adequately resourced from within the team to support the deliverables
Requirements:
Experience within and strong understanding of the Financial Sector
Experience within a people management role and proven experience of coaching and developing others
Deep level of IT proficiency
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Adaptable to change and experience of leading through change
Excellent motivator and proven ability to use own initiative
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management to deliver effective planning and organisation
