Lead the direction, performance, and quality of customer and administrative support services. Provide strategic and operational advice to the Pro Vice-Chancellor on cross-portfolio initiatives. Full-time, ongoing role based in Hobart or Launceston. We are seeking a Manager, Administrative Services to lead the delivery of high-quality customer and administrative support across Arts and Society portfolio, encompassing five academic units: the Schools of Creative and Performing Arts, Education, Humanities, Law and The Conservatorium. The Manager, Administrative Services ensures the effective delivery of administrative services through a shared model that supports the portfolio by effectively embedding a strong service mindset and a unified ‘shared purpose’ that connects professional and academic teams and fosters engagement, performance, capability and wellbeing. The role leads strategic, operational and executive support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Arts and Society Leadership Team.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team by building capability, driving workforce planning, and ensuring succession strategies are in place
Develop and implement multi-year operational plans
Provide strategic and operational advice to the Pro Vice-Chancellor on cross-portfolio initiatives
Lead and coordinate executive support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Arts & Society Leadership Team
Initiate and manage complex cross-portfolio projects
Requirements:
Extensive experience leading business operations across medium to large portfolios, including executive office functions, service design, systems and process improvements, and budget management
Demonstrated success in leading, managing and motivating high performance and service-oriented teams through a people-centric and continuous improvement approach
Proven capability in managing projects, including the engagement of stakeholders and the ability to navigate complex issues to find strategic solutions
Ability to work with agility in a high paced, environment, while maintaining high standards and attention to detail
Excellent organisational, prioritisation and judgement skills
