Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and review journal entries in conjunction with the monthly closing
  • Responsible for various Sarbanes-Oxley controls and ensuring that those controls are operating effectively and taking place at the appropriate time intervals, consistent with internal documentation
  • Review and/or prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Preparing reports for management
  • Support the budget and forecasting process
  • Updating and maintaining Accounting schedules/records
  • Supervise and review staff accountant duties
  • Mentor and aid staff accountants in their career development
  • Drive process improvement and innovation
  • Assist Accounting Director with special projects

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Public/Corporate Accounting
  • 2+ years of management/supervisory experience
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • CPA and or MBA a plus
  • SAP experience
