Job Description

The System Health team serves as the backbone of our financial infrastructure, ensuring system health, integrity, and operational excellence. As the primary System Administrators and Production Support for our enterprise-wide financial applications, we act as the bridge between technical architecture and business needs. We are currently navigating a transformative period as we migrate from PeopleSoft to Workday ERP. We are seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Manager to lead critical system configurations and support our evolving value stream.

Job Responsibility

  • Enterprise System Administration: Lead production support and system health for a suite of critical applications including PeopleSoft (Global One ERP), RACR, Trintech (ReconPlus), and ABACUS
  • Configuration & Integration: Execute complex system configuration builds, change management, and source-to-target mapping updates
  • Process Optimization: Identify and recommend modifications to existing standards
  • maintain a deep understanding of processes impacting the General Ledger (GL) and Reconciliation platforms
  • Agile Delivery: Perform duties within the Capital One Agile framework (Kanban/Scrum), ensuring transparency in risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Value Stream Mastery: Understand the end-to-end financial system value stream to troubleshoot technical and business solutions effectively
  • Develop team: Coach and develop our cross function team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Financial Analysis, System Administration, System Integration, or Data Analysis
  • At least 2 years of Financial Systems experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with SQL
  • At least 1 year of experience using Jira

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree or higher
  • Proficiency in GSuite (Docs, sheets, slides, etc.) and/or MS office Suite
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or Workday ERP
  • Hands-on experience with Trintech (ReconPlus), Frontier, or other automated reconciliation systems
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience with cloud-based BI tools like Birst or QuickSight or Tableau
  • Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effectiveness in constantly changing environment
  • Ability to apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues and propose solutions
