Job Description

This role has responsibility for managing and assisting each plant’s month-end and year-end processes/analysis and assists, where necessary, in keeping the process efficient and effective (e.g. analytical review of key journal entries, reconciliation of inventory, balance sheets and costing processes). The incumbent also manages the cost accounting function with month-end and year-end analysis and assists, where necessary, in keeping with accuracy, timeliness and efficiency targets. This includes leading the cost accounting team in preparing monthly and quarterly analysis of financial results and assisting in the preparation and presentation to senior management the results of the financial analysis.

  • Coordinating and reviewing preparation and issuance of various reports to management
  • Working with CF internal and external auditors
  • Assistance in adopting new accounting policies and new accounting standards

  • Plans, coordinates and reviews work assignments
  • Identifies training needs of subordinates and provides means to meet the needs
  • Develop greater analyses skills across the finance team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in various areas of accounting with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Must be knowledgeable of automated accounting software systems (i.e. SAP)
  • Must be PC-literate within a windows environment and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

CPA and/or MBA preferred
