Job Description

As an Account Management Manager for Financial Institutions at Mastercard, you'll be at the forefront of defining and executing our strategic agenda with the customer. You'll lead the charge in developing and maintaining an exceptional relationship while driving revenue growth and customer profitability.

Job Responsibility

  • Shape Mastercard's strategic and tactical direction with the customer
  • Own the customer's P&L, promoting Mastercard's products and services
  • Lead the customer in new product innovations
  • Foster strong relationships between Mastercard and the customer across all operational functions
  • Develop and implement solutions that enhance revenue generation and mutual profitability
  • Take charge of administrative and operational issues, including planning and budget/expense management
  • Contribute to Mastercard's overall business development in Northern Europe

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in sales and key account management
  • Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, especially with senior management
  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships
  • A self-starter who can identify issues before they become problems and proactively resolve them
  • Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge, including marketing, operations, risk, debit, acquiring, and emerging technologies
  • Proven ability to develop and successfully implement quantifiable business plans
  • Good understanding of the Swedish and Nordic payments market and emerging payment innovations
  • Bachelor's degree or sales experience within a B2B environment is essential
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • knowledge of other Nordic languages is a plus

  • 7+ years of experience in designing, installing or maintaining heating and cooling systems for large commercial buildings, leisure centres, food and drink manufacturing facilities

  • Acting as the primary domain voice guiding our software engineering team as they develop and iterate the optimisation engine — translating deep knowledge of heating and cooling physics, control logic, and energy management into product requirements
  • Deeply understanding the thermal and energy requirements and operational limitations in a range of pilot sites focusing on value outcomes and seamless controller integrations
  • Owning relationships with UK local authorities, councils and industrial sites that manage portfolios of electrified heating and cooling assets — positioning our platform as their energy cost reduction and carbon management partner
  • Translate real-world system behaviour into requirements for our energy optimisation platform and support the development of solutions that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while unlocking value from flexibility markets
  • Deeply understand how heating and cooling systems in a range of sites can be controlled for shifting their usage and translate that into practical optimisation strategies working along with our senior data scientist and thermal research specialist
  • Work hands-on with pilot sites to test and refine our approach
  • Define ROI models and establish savings benchmarks
  • Build relationships with councils and industrial partners (without hard selling)
  • Contribute in designing a structured sales processes
  • Lead deals with early adopters and act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through implementation and value realisation
