Job Description:

Our global team of finance professionals’ partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward-looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Manager – Treasury, Tax, Controls and Projects – Bahrain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for all Treasury Finance related activities including managing the liquidity and funding requirements of the bank (LCR/NSFR) in addition to IRRBB requirements (EVE, NII sensitivity)
  • Managing end to end Treasury related policies (E.g. – FTP/LP/structural hedging)
  • Tax compliance and minimizing Tax liability
  • Liaising with the Tax regulatory authorities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance data accuracy, profitability insights, and financial governance
  • Support projects aligned to finance transformation, tax compliance, and financial frameworks
  • Take an active role in the annual Financial Resource Planning process with local and regional teams
  • Support the CFO to drive performance and maximize business growth
  • Deputize the CFO as and when needed.

Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified - Chartered Accountant/CFA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in ALCM/Treasury and Finance and overall post qualification experience of 9 years
  • Proven leadership skills to provide oversight of and development of teams
  • Strong knowledge of HSBC Group and products preferred
  • Strong understanding of Finance as well as Business
  • Strong MI and analytical skills
  • High level of drive and motivation and ability to solve problems
  • Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
