Job Description

Operating as part of the Management Information Team within the Finance function, this role has day to day responsibility for overseeing the billing procedures and controls for all the Ogier Global entities ensuring high levels of client service (internal and external) at all times.

Job Responsibility

  • Become an expert on Viewpoint billing processes, to become the first point of contact for billing queries
  • Take ownership of monitoring our billing controls and work with the wider business to ensure billing is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work alongside the wider MI Team to improve and implement additional billing controls
  • Assist with completion of invoice reversal and write off requests
  • Assist with providing training on billing processes to the wider business
  • Assist with configuration of Viewpoint and system changes in relation to billing, including creation of new service codes
  • Assist with annual fee pricing reviews, working with the wider business to ensure billing is in line with market prices
  • Assist with maintenance of charge out rates and monitoring of time sheet reporting
  • Use our forecasted income models to assist the wider MI team with preparation of the annual income budget
  • Assist with ad hoc queries requiring data analysis and reconciliation of billing data

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a Finance Operations team
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • An aptitude for data analysis and working with systems
  • Highly diligent with an organised and timely approach to work
  • Excellent client service mentality with a ‘can do, will do’ attitude
  • Ability to work proactively and effectively within a team and with minimal supervision
  • Analytical and logical approach, with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail
  • Awareness of the importance of the wider commercial environment

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerBi preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in the use of Viewpoint is preferred but not essential
  • Basic proficiency in book keeping or accounting, to understand how billing translates into revenue is preferred but not essential
