As an employer provider of apprenticeships, we have made a commitment to have 5% of our employees in Emerging talent roles. A large part of this is the internal delivery of apprenticeships. You will be an integral part of the Emerging Talent and Apprenticeship team who will shape the way in achieving this.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with learners, their colleagues, management teams and other departments
  • Design and update quality training materials and content
  • Always keep learner portfolios up to date through completing reviews on a quarterly basis and signing off learner’s work according to our Service Level Agreement
  • Evaluate, update and feedback on learning plans to learners and their managers
  • Provide support and guidance to all learners and managers in the use of our apprenticeship learning management system
  • Contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and Self-Assessment Report
  • Work closely with the Emerging Talent and Apprenticeship team to consistently improve, develop, and implement processes and procedures to enhance the learning experience
  • Provide pro-active and insightful support to the team for exercises including but not limited to, awarding body or Ofsted visits
  • Take responsibility for your own continuous professional development to ensure that programmes are delivered in-line with awarding organisation and funding body requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous management experience along with experience of delivering Operations Manager apprenticeship standard at L5
  • Proven communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the business
  • A track record of managing a busy workload with competing priorities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attendance at standardisation events which may require an overnight stay at our head office in Luton
  • Functional skills/ GCSEs in Maths and English at level 2
  • Coaching qualification or equivalent (e.g., TAQA, CAVA)

  • Deputise for the Shift Manager when requested or cover other shifts as and when required
  • All Team Managers are trained and take personal ownership ensuring they are rotated throughout the year to work in all areas of the DC. (rotation will be minimum of twice yearly)
  • Daily KPI’s and staffing levels are accurately managed and monitored for improvement
  • Highly motivated, engaged and productive team, using effective coaching and mentoring tools and skills
