Job Description

Areeva is actively looking for a Full-time Management Analyst to provide policy analysis and strategic planning support to federal executives. This position will support the Senior Leadership at HHS/ASFR/OG and also, GrantSolutions, which is an organization within the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Grants (OG).

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, communicate policy implications, and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze existing and proposed policies, legislation, and regulations to assess their impact
  • Advocate for policy and operational changes benefiting OG/GS in policy discussions
  • Manage logistics for workgroups, including scheduling, note-taking, and materials preparation
  • Analyze materials and prepare documents such as reports, spreadsheets, talking points, memos, briefings, and presentations
  • Keep the executive informed of upcoming activities and commitments, and manage scheduling and logistics as needed
  • Prepare the leader for meetings and conferences by developing fact sheets, status reports, and briefing books
  • Draft and edit emails on behalf of the executive
  • Conduct research for accurate and relevant talking points and speeches, and actively participate in meetings and discussions
  • Provide ongoing briefings on project deliverables to the executive
  • Assist in coordinating and completing special projects
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet multiple workload goals
  • Serve as a sounding board to executives after gaining experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences (BSOS) such as Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, etc., or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an executive as a Policy/Management analyst
  • Federal contracting experience is highly desired
  • Government policy analysis experience or experience in a program analyst role
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a fast learner
  • Excellent writing skills, supported by writing samples
  • Availability to work one to two days a week at the federal client office in Washington, DC
  • Candidates must have resided in the United States for three consecutive years out of the last five years
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card
