Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the Management Accountant plays a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering complete, accurate and timely management and financial accounting information to support monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting to the business and parent company. This role is ideal for a bright, enthusiastic part-qualified accountant working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, and offers a generous study support package.
Job Responsibility:
Own and manage the end-to-end accounting process for reporting various elements of the P&L
Take full ownership of the Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) model
Ensure all assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations are fully understood, prepared, and reviewed each period
Act as the SME for the balance sheet reconciliation process and related controls
Ensure compliance with relevant UK and German GAAP requirements
Partner with finance colleagues and key business stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial results
Prepare monthly journals and maintain clear, supporting working files
Collaborate with the FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to enhance reporting
Provide month-on-month and year-on-year variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet movements
Ensure appropriate processes are in place, fully documented, and continuously reviewed for effectiveness
Support the preparation of Landlord Revenue Share Statements and other landlord reporting requirements
Assist the Senior Management Accountant with ONS submissions as required
Support the Finance Manager in identifying, developing and implementing process improvements
Provide ad hoc reporting as required
Assist with interim, year-end, group and statutory audits
Requirements:
Part-qualified and currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Control-focused approach
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Proactive and self-motivated
Proven capability to redesign and improve processes
Strong systems and ERP experience
Advanced Excel skills
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
