Job Description

IN2 Consult are supporting a well-established organisation within the property sector in their search for an experienced Management Accountant / Treasury Accountant to join their finance team on an initial six-month contract. Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, strengthening financial controls and helping the business through an ongoing finance systems transition. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working through complex reconciliations, improving processes and investigating data issues within a changing finance environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations across treasury-related accounts
  • Investigate and resolve legacy data issues arising from the migration to a new finance system
  • Reconcile loan balances between legacy systems and the new ERP
  • Review and correct intercompany loan balances and interest postings
  • Investigate and resolve issues with funder codes and migrated master data
  • Improve financial controls and enhance treasury accounting processes
  • Work closely with the Treasury Accounting Manager to streamline month-end activities and improve team efficiency
  • Review accruals and treasury accounting journals to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Support the cleansing, validation and reconciliation of migrated financial data
  • Assist with the accounting for a significant loan portfolio and associated financing costs
  • Collaborate with a small finance team to manage priorities during busy reporting periods

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
  • Strong financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
  • Previous treasury accounting experience
  • Understanding of Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
  • Experience working with Workday Finance (highly desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets
  • Experience supporting finance system migrations or ERP implementations
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience accounting for loans, interest accruals and intercompany transactions
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Experience working with Workday Finance (highly desirable)
