Job Description:

Temporary Management Accountant role for a leading not for profit organisation in Manchester. The role involves working closely with the Financial Controller and Senior Managers to offer financial advice and support, including budget preparation, financial performance monitoring, and year-end statutory accounts compilation.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing annual budgets
Preparing monthly management accounts
Discussing financial performance with departmental budget holders
Supporting budget holders with costings
Compiling year end statutory accounts
Balance sheet reconciliation
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements:

Significant previous experience of management accounting
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to use information from financial and non-financial sources for strategic decision making
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to analyse, interpret and articulate financial performance
Full membership of a recognised accounting body within the UK
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Strong organisation skills
