Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the central operational finance team. This position is responsible for the day‑to‑day accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities for multiple corporate functions. The role is highly visible and requires regular engagement with a range of stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, operational support and the timely delivery of reporting. As a critical member of the team, you will help safeguard key finance deliverables, with a direct impact on meeting month‑end and budgeting deadlines. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Head Office in Osborne Park.

Job Responsibility

  • General Ledger and sub-ledger maintenance for allocated business unit(s)
  • Ensure Fixed Asset register is maintained including timely capitalisations and disposals, and appropriate depreciation methods are applied
  • Working with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and financial information is accurate, timely and provides insightful analysis
  • Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances are in line with commercial expectations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis with general/ operations managers
  • Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools/dashboards and data analytics
  • Analyse and understand the financial and operational drivers of results
  • Preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts as required

Requirements

  • Tertiary Degree in Accounting or relevant qualifications
  • Completed or working towards CA/CPA
  • Experience in a range of accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis, audit and management reporting
  • High level competency in Microsoft Office, inclusive of Excel
  • Experience working in operational finance in mining or contracting services (preferable)
