This is a Monday - Friday position based in our head office in Osborne Park on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Job Responsibility
General Ledger and sub-ledger maintenance for allocated business unit(s)
Ensure Fixed Asset register is maintained including timely capitalisations and disposals, and appropriate depreciation methods are applied
Working with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and financial information is accurate, timely and provides insightful analysis
Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances are in line with commercial expectations
Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis with general/ operations managers
Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools/dashboards and data analytics
Analyse and understand the financial and operational drivers of results
Preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts as required
Requirements
Tertiary Degree in Accounting or relevant qualifications
Completed or working towards CA/CPA
Experience in a range of accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis, audit and management reporting
High level competency in Microsoft Office, inclusive of Excel
Experience working in operational finance in mining or contracting services (preferable)
