Job Description

This is a Monday - Friday position based in our head office in Osborne Park on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Job Responsibility

  • General Ledger and sub-ledger maintenance for allocated business unit(s)
  • Ensure Fixed Asset register is maintained including timely capitalisations and disposals, and appropriate depreciation methods are applied
  • Working with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and financial information is accurate, timely and provides insightful analysis
  • Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances are in line with commercial expectations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis with general/ operations managers
  • Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools/dashboards and data analytics
  • Analyse and understand the financial and operational drivers of results
  • Preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts as required

Requirements

  • Tertiary Degree in Accounting or relevant qualifications
  • Completed or working towards CA/CPA
  • Experience in a range of accounting activities – including general accounting, financial analysis, audit and management reporting
  • High level competency in Microsoft Office, inclusive of Excel
  • Experience working in operational finance in mining or contracting services (preferable)
