Job Description

We’re looking for a Management Accounts Specialist to play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial insights, supporting operational leaders, and driving smarter decision-making across our national charity. If you’re detail-driven, commercially aware, and passionate about turning data into meaningful insight—this is your opportunity to make real impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Producing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
  • Supporting the month-end process, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely reporting
  • Analysing income and expenditure to provide clear, actionable insights
  • Partnering with operational teams to help them understand and manage financial performance
  • Investigating variances, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement
  • Developing and enhancing reporting tools, including supporting Power BI adoption
  • Acting as a first point of contact for finance queries across the organisation

Requirements

  • AAT qualified (or equivalent), with study towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or QBE)
  • Solid experience in management accounting (ideally in charity, healthcare, or social care)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Experience turning large data sets into clear, meaningful reports
  • Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and a strong problem solver

Nice to have

Experience with Power BI (desirable)
