Job Responsibility:
Produce accurate monthly accounts, including the preparation and approval of journals for accruals, depreciation, prepayments, and operating expenses
Ensure all supplier invoices and expenses are approved and posted correctly
Act as an independent verification point for new supplier onboarding and bank details
Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare monthly balance sheet files
Ensure reconciliations are up to date and revalued, investigating any discrepancies promptly
Partner with the Business Partnering team to provide insightful commentary on financial statements and KPIs for local CEO packs
Provide critical input into the budget and reforecast process, including run-rate analysis of overheads and working capital cash conversion
Prepare and submit VAT/GST returns and other local filings
Support annual statutory audits and tax returns by managing information requests and queries
Assist the Transactional Finance team with bank transaction postings and approve monthly bank reconciliations to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
Finalist or Qualified Accountant (BSc/MSc in Economics, Finance, or equivalent)
Strong Excel and IT systems skills with practical experience in management accounting
Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills with rigorous attention to detail
First-class interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong internal rapport
Focus on team achievement rather than just individual goals, acting proactively to identify and resolve issues
Previous experience in the business or financial services sector is a distinct advantage
