The Managed Services Team Manager – Supply Chain at NTT DATA Business Solutions is a leadership role that combines advanced supply chain consulting with team management. The position requires overseeing a team of SCM consultants, delivering SAP solutions, and ensuring high service standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in SAP SCM processes and a strong commitment to team development and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to a group of consultants through direct management of 3–8 Consultants
Ensure delivery of Managed Services revenue and achievement of utilization and margin targets
Foster a unified practice, avoiding siloed teams, and promote best practice sharing and skills development
Continue to work directly with clients on Managed Services engagements, while focusing on leadership and strategic responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Support the Managed Services SCM Team, ensuring each team member has a Personal Training Plan and access to mentoring and coaching
Identify and address technical and non-technical training needs, driving both depth and breadth of team capabilities
Recognize talent, manage performance, and handle disciplinary actions as needed
Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members, ensuring robust processes and alignment with company best practices
Deliver administrative line management tasks (e.g., holiday approval, sick leave) in line with company policies
Consulting Delivery & Solution Design: Provides day-to-day functional support for SAP SSM within a managed services framework
This includes resolving incidents and service requests, configuration changes, supporting end users and testing and deploying fixes or enhancements
Delivers 2nd/3rd line advisory services to UK-based customers—many with global operations
This includes providing process improvements, guiding customers in best practice, evaluating change requests and acting as a trusted advisor
Actively engages with customers to understand business requirements and translates them into SAP solutions
Problem-solving
using own initiative to look for solutions and permanent fixes to recurring problems
Collaborates with cross functional teams (SD, FI, ABAP, Basis) to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Monitors SLAs and ensures timely resolution of tickets with high customer satisfaction
Manages own workload and tasks independently, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and utilization
Work with Service Delivery Managers to enhance customer relationships and ensure contracted services and deliverables are met
Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years hands on experience in SAP SCM processes
with a proven track record supporting and configuring core SCM processes
Deep understanding of key SCM functions: Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory Management, Quality Management, Warehouse Management
Practical experience in both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, with the ability to navigate and support each confidently, including Fiori
Cross functional knowledge across FICO/ SD
Working knowledge of SCM-related IDocs, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Takes ownership of SCM solutions from initial analysis and design through to implementation, testing, and support
Able to explain proposed solutions clearly and logically to both technical SAP users and non-technical stakeholders
Customer-facing troubleshooting and analysis skills, acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams
Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast paced environment
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills quickly
Commitment to high-quality service delivery, consistently aiming for customer satisfaction and value creation
10+ years of professional experience in SAP environments, with at least 6 years in supply chain consulting
Cross-functional knowledge of logistics modules and experience with ECC WM and Basic EWM solutions
Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo high-level security clearance are required
