Managed Services Storage Engineer. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. HPE Operations is our innovative IT services organization. It provides the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers’ outcomes from their digital transformation.
Job Responsibility:
Operate, administer, and consult on storage infrastructure and Linux OS in line with ITIL standards
Provide technical input, solutions, and recommendations for deal pursuits and transformation projects
Deliver lifecycle support: planning, installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and de‑installation
Manage technical/service relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
Resolve customer issues via phone, email, or remote sessions

Perform regular follow‑ups with updates, recommendations, and action plans
Escalate issues to vendors per SOPs
lead technical escalations during crises
Collaborate with CoE/HW teams to diagnose and isolate complex issues
Maintain SLA compliance, case documentation quality, and operational metrics
Lead incident management across single and cross‑technology domains
Drive problem management: root cause analysis, trend analysis, preventive solutions
Independently prepare, review, implement, rollback, and test change records
participate in CAB
Apply patches/security changes, monitor compliance, and analyze compatibility
Ensure CMDB entries are complete and accurate
Conduct performance, capacity, and security audits
provide reports and recommendations
Deliver consulting support and training when required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Engineering (or equivalent) + 6–7 years in storage administration
Strong knowledge of Object, File, and Block storage
Expertise in SAN/NAS technologies (Ethernet/iSCSI, FC, FCoE)
