Minimum 0.8 FTE Radiologic Technologist III or greater and must have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Must have license/certification in the Modality of the Section they are assigned to, upon hire
Must have satisfactorily completed formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school, upon hire

Job Responsibility

Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction
Ensure a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously
Consistently produce quality images within hospital guidelines, protocols, and department standards
Accurately complete documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, exam labeling, computer entry, contrast orders, etc.
Maintain clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in inservice education and other continuing education activities
Assist MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards
Evaluate personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care
Prioritize work according to urgency and resources
Respond effectively in emergency situations
May act as supervisor in absence of department supervisor

Prepares equipment and supplies
Selects appropriate imaging parameters
