The Mammography Tech primarily performs screening and Diagnostic Breast Imaging procedures. They may also be required to perform/assist in interventional breast procedures. Responsible for operational effectiveness in Breast Imaging area with attention to patient flow, customer service, equipment oversight, Quality Control guidelines. Collaborates with Radiologists, Clinicians to implement new procedures, processes that insure seamless operations.
Job Responsibility:
Primarily performs screening and Diagnostic Breast Imaging procedures

Collaborates with Radiologists, Clinicians to implement new procedures, processes that insure seamless operations
Maintains continuing education specific to Breast Imaging
Contributes to and participates in work organization, training and evaluation of staff as a member of self-directed work teams
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety
Demonstrates skills and knowledge via competency exams in all Breast Imaging procedures
Must follow Radiology Imaging protocols and policies
Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and call and some overtime if necessary for unexpected staffing issues
Knowledge of computers and new technology such as Picture Archival Computer System (PACS), Digital Mammography
Working knowledge of Radiology Information system (RIS), and Hospital Information System (HIS)
Requirements:
Complete certification training program for Radiologic and Mammographic Technologist
California Radiology Technologist of Mammography (CRT-M)
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of first hire date
Demonstrated PACS, Digital Mammography, and computer knowledge
Nice to have:
At least one (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Registered Technologist for Mammography issued by ARRT (R.T(M)(ARRT))
