Mammographer

• Determination of appropriate radiographic/mammographic technique and position of patient for specified exam
• Determines when radiographic exam adheres to standards set forth for radiographic interpretation
• Participates in more advanced mammographic procedures such as galactograms, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
• Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure a safe patient and work environment
• Delivery of patient care in accordance with departmental standards
• Identification and documentation of department supplies to ensure adequate supply levels
• Participates in Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs

• Graduate of AMA approved school/program of Radiologic Technology
• Three years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and Mammography
• Licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS)
• Knowledge of radiography services
• Basic knowledge of RIS
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
• Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week

Mammography experience preferred
