Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for full time male Autism Support Workers to support an individual with autism and a learning disability within the IPSWICH area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support an individual with autism and a learning disability
  • Provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of their life day and night

Requirements:

  • Provide support during good times and difficult periods
  • Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have working within a mental health setting
  • Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people
  • Be a positive advocate
  • Be consistent
  • Be prepared to motivate in a supportive manner
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures
  • Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
  • Come to work to “Get to know me”
  • Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care
  • Think outside the box
  • Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries
  • Enjoy sports and healthy eating
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
