The position will be within the Design Team, focusing on supporting and growing the business through customer satisfaction. The Assistant Design Engineer’s role is to support customer enquiries and orders within the business. This will involve you applying company processes and practices to your work and supporting the Senior Design Engineer.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring work is completed within customer and business requirements
Maintain an understanding and awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures
Proactively manage Health & Safety concerns whilst working closely with the Construction Teams to ensure safety and avoid accidents where possible
Work closely with designers and other departments to ensure and develop designs to meet customer and business requirements
Work closely with Construction Engineers to ensure that project objectives are met and understood fully
Identify and recommend improved ways of completing work
Ensure that all working processes and practices are followed
Liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure tasks are completed effectively
Liaise with the public to ensure that work is handled smoothly, making sure that they are treated with respect and patience
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in electrical or electronic engineering
Organisational and time management skills
Effective Project Management skills
Customer focused - aware of customer needs
Positive “can do” attitude towards tasks
Show initiative towards tasks and problems
Great teamwork skills - effectively working with others
