Job Description

We are a successful regional airline operating within one of the world's most recognised aviation groups, delivering exceptional operational standards while maintaining our own distinct culture and way of working. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Maintrol Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our Head Office in Didsbury, Manchester.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the central coordination point between Line Stations, third-party maintenance providers, and flight crews to ensure safe and reliable daily operations
  • Manage scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintenance programmes
  • Control and monitor Acceptable Deferred Defects (ADDs), driving timely rectification and coordinating spares, tooling, and documentation requirements
  • Support aircraft recovery through technical guidance, logistics coordination, and management of crew duty-time considerations
  • Provide real-time technical assistance to pilots and engineers during both in-flight and ground-based operational events
  • Coordinate information flow following aircraft incidents and contribute to operational recovery planning
  • Allocate aircraft in line with operational, engineering, and maintenance priorities
  • Improve aircraft and engineering performance through proactive use of aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools
  • Deliver specialist technical support while balancing safety, regulatory, technical, and commercial considerations

Requirements

  • UK/EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 Licence
  • Experience within a maintenance or maintenance control environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to interpret complex technical information
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • High levels of situational awareness and sound decision-making capability
  • The ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proven ability to deliver cost-effective solutions and drive operational efficiencies
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance
  • Good understanding of airline operations and engineering procedures
  • Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems

Experience working on Embraer 170/190 aircraft or similar modern regional jet technology
