Leading the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the BA Cityflyer fleet by seamlessly coordinating Line, Base, and third‑party maintenance activity. Acting as the central hub guiding flight crews and engineering teams, maintaining real‑time oversight of aircraft status, planning data, and fleet performance to keep our operation moving with precision and confidence.
Job Responsibility:
Acts as the central coordination point between Line Stations, third‑party maintenance providers and Flight Technical teams to ensure safe and reliable daily operations
Manages scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and maintenance programme requirements
Controls and monitors Acceptable Deferred Defects (ADDs), driving timely rectification and coordinating required spares, tooling and documentation
Supports aircraft recovery through technical guidance, logistics coordination and oversight of crew duty‑time limitations
Provides real‑time technical assistance to flight crews and engineers during in‑flight or ground‑based operational issues
Coordinates information flow following aircraft incidents and contributes to recovery planning
Allocates aircraft in line with operational, engineering and maintenance priorities
Responsible for improving aircraft and Engineering performance through proactive use of Aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools
Analysis and actions safety reports and repetitive defects
Provides on-site specialist technical support as required with due regard for safety, technical, regulatory and commercial requirements
Sources and provides required approved data necessary to ensure safe maintenance / repair / modification of BA aircraft engines, components or products
Responsible for following laid down Technical procedures to deliver aircraft, engine and component technical, safety and cost performance targets along with continuous improvement of aircraft technical performance, engineering processes and procedures
Requirements:
UK/EASA Part‑66 B1 or B2 Licence
Experience in a maintenance or maintenance‑control environment
Proven ability to deliver cost‑effective solutions
Experience improving efficiency and reducing operational costs
Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes
Good understanding of airline operations and procedures
Computer literate, ideally with experience in MS Office and maintenance systems
Nice to have:
Experience working on Embraer 170/190 or similar technology aircraft
