Maintenance Trainee - Apprenticeship Program

• Learn and apply skills to maintain equipment and facilities
• Develop an understanding and practical application of governmental regulatory programs and policies
• Practice and comply with all plant and maintenance department safety procedures
• Understand the concept of Permit Required Confined Spaces
• Follow all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMP's)
• Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Attend classes in the evenings, 2 – 3 times a week
• Attend seminars and in-house training as needed
• Execute and document planned and unplanned work findings and data during shift via SAP
• With assistance, execute electrical and mechanical work orders
• Assist with equipment breakdowns/repairs and resolution
• Learn methodologies including root cause analysis (RCA), break down failure analysis (BDA) and cause maps
• Develop and demonstrate an understanding of various diagrams

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
• Some college or formal technical school education is preferred, but not required
• Must pass plant specific maintenance test
• Must commit to a 4 year program with evening classes during the week
• Must complete the Apprenticeship Program with the Manufacturers Association with a grade average of 72% or above
